Cranthorpe Millner Publishers are searching for a Publishing Coordinator on a part-time flexible basis.
You will be in charge of finalising proofs, ensuring cover designs are in place and finalised, and adding any copyrights, prelims, chapter headings and more.
You will also be liaising with authors, designers, illustrators and editors. You will be attending monthly meetings, keeping databases and the Drive up to date, uploading bibliographic data and more.

Sales Administration Assistant - Turnaround Publisher Services

Turnaround Publisher Services is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Sales Administration Assistant with excellent communication, data and technological skills.
You will be joining their experienced sales department and working alongside the team to provide sales support to the Sales Director, Sales Manager, Territory Managers and overseas sales agents. You will also be working closely with the marketing and customer-service departments. Your responsibilities will include dealing with general enquiries from the sales team, customers and client publishers, providing sales material and reports as requested, as well as repairing spreadsheets and supporting material for key account presentations. You will also help organise and run sales conferences (both online and in person), solicit and monitor the progress of orders for events and specialist key accounts, and administer targeted mailings of proof copies or marketing materials.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Excel, have excellent communication skills and be confident dealing professionally with a wide variety of contacts. You will also have good attention to detail, strong IT skills and the ability to multitask. An interest in current events, popular culture, online and print media and a wider variety of book and comic-book genres will also be beneficial.

Royalty Administrator - Hachette

Hachette are seeking to recruit an Administrator on a fixed-term basis who will be responsible for the administration and support of statements, advances, sub-rights and queries for Hachette’s publishers, working within a royalties team.
You will be supporting and liaising the royalty team and gaining a good understanding of any key issues with authors and agents to ensure that they are addressed and followed up accordingly. You will be helping the royalties managers with the timely payment of advances, rights income and royalties. Monthly tax reporting, both VAT and withholding tax documentation, will need to be completed and author/agent queries answered in a timely fashion.
The ideal candidate will be organised, capable and focused, with excellent communication skills. Hachette are looking for someone who can interpret contracts and accurately set up relevant details in both the old (Vista) and new (Alliant) royalty systems, aid royalty managers creating business focus reports, balances, royalty earnings and much more.

Editorial Assistant - Granta

Granta is looking for a new Editorial Assistant for its literary quarterly magazine.
You will be reading and reporting on submissions, as well as copy-editing and proofreading material, maintaining bibliographic systems and metadata and managing their social media accounts.
You will also be assisting with copywriting, picture research, permissions clearing, and preparing minutes, schedules and agendas.
The candidate will be comfortable with editing, reading and assessing literary texts, be able to handle a varied workload, and deadlines, have an understanding of contemporary literature, and be passionate about identifying and promoting new voices. Previous experience in editing, copywriting and Adobe is desirable.
