Publishing Assistant Apprentice at Adam Matthew Digital

This position is remote two days per week, and AMD is looking for non-graduates only.


The Publishing Assistant Apprentice will work on the editorial content for projects, organise archival collections and communicate with partners and suppliers. You will also test the user experience and accuracy of digital resources, as well as running technical processes for OCR (optical character recognition) and XML (extensible markup language).


The ideal candidate will be passionate about digital scholarship and global education. Organisational, interpersonal and communication skills are all necessary components of this position. You will be asked to quickly analyse and solve problems along with possessing an excellent eye for detail. There will be an online Zoom screening interview with the AMD Talent Team where you will be asked to pass Maths and English assessments.

Agent’s Assistant and Office Assistant at Rogers, Coleridge & White (RCW)

Rogers, Coleridge & White is looking for someone to fit the dual role of Agent’s Assistant and Office Assistant. This position is for an individual who has excellent communication and time management skills, who is looking to gain experience and insight at a leading literary agency.


As both an Agent’s Assistant and Office Assistant, there are a myriad of responsibilities within this position including managing contracts throughout their various stages, handling accounts and communicating with authors and the foreign rights team. You will also be reading and organising submissions, diary management and developing your own ideas along with a number of other responsibilities.


The ideal candidate will need to possess knowledge and understanding of a range of social media platforms and have administrative experience. In this dual role, you will be asked to multitask and work well under pressure. Confidence, attention to detail, a hard-working attitude, as well as an interest in books and publishing are key qualities of a successful candidate.

Customer Services Assistant at Bloomsbury Professional & Bloomsbury Digital Resources

Bloomsbury Professional are looking for a Customer Services Assistant to join their team and ensure that every customer and account receives the highest level of service!


You will be reporting to the senior customer service manager, acting as a point of contact between customers and various internal departments including the sales, finance and marketing teams. You will be working diligently to resolve any emerging issues that their customers might face and aiming for the highest degree of accuracy and efficiency. Ultimately this position will ensure that every customer and account receives the highest level of service by responding quickly and efficiently to customer inquiries, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and reflecting well upon the Bloomsbury brand. Key responsibilities will include processing orders, reporting access issues and supporting sales as needed. You will also answer queries, process Legal Deposit requests and track stock levels.


The ideal candidate will ideally have proven experience with customer service, good attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. You will also ideally have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as familiarity with a customer relationship management (CRM) system and Excel.

Publicity Assistant (Children’s) at Penguin Random House

Are you great with people, highly organised and full of initiative? Penguin Random House are looking for a Publicity Assistant to join their award-winning children’s PR team.


Collaborating with the PR team, your responsibilities will include scheduling meetings and liaising with other departments, as well as assisting publicists with their campaigns and events. The successful candidate will also gain invaluable PR experience, a wide understanding of the publishing process while also having the opportunity to work closely with a variety of departments. You will be able to learn first-hand how Penguin Random House Children’s approach and execute PR campaigns, drive demand, run events and create magic.


The ideal candidate will have ingenuity, organisation and attention to detail. You will be a team player with excellent communication skills, able to keep things running smoothly in a fast-paced environment when your colleagues are juggling various priorities. You'll be proactive in your work and will always be looking for new ways to work more efficiently and effectively. Knowledge of Microsoft Office would be useful and you will also need a curiosity to learn and to think, see and do things differently.
