SYP South West Branch to Host "Launch into 2024" Social in Bath

By Georgia Appleyard and Amy Joan Sayner

The Society of Young Publishers (SYP) South West branch is set to kick off the new year with a social in Bath at the end of January. Geared towards publishing hopefuls and junior members of the publishing industry, the "Launch into 2024" event is scheduled to take place at Coppa Club, located at 18-19 Old Bond St, Bath, on 28 January.

The event aims to bring together SYP members, students, graduates, and industry professionals from across the South West region. With the goal of fostering connections and marking the beginning of 2024, the gathering will feature a book swap, providing attendees with the opportunity to exchange their favourite reads. Attendees will also have the chance to meet representatives from regional publishing houses and engage in casual networking.

The social is open to all and free to attend. However, you should register here with Eventbrite if you are planning to attend. Given the limited number of tickets available, early registration is advised to avoid disappointment.

The Society of Young Publishers is run by volunteers as well as junior professionals across the UK and Ireland. They host a range of events for anyone interested in publishing, offering plenty of opportunities to get involved in the industry. For more information about the SYP or to keep up to date with future events, visit their website or engage on social media at @SYP_UK.
