Pan Macmillan Trainee Editorial Assistant

Pan Macmillan is looking for a Trainee Editorial Assistant to work across their non-fiction print.


You’d be looking after Biblio, ensuring it’s up to date, dealing with record-keeping and more.


You’d also be supporting the editor with the editorial process, helping titles to meet required timings, chasing payments, coding and processing invoices, ordering, writing minutes and liaising with other departments, agents and authors as well as completing other admin tasks.


The ideal candidate must have excellent administration skills, good knowledge of Microsoft applications and must be happy to contribute ideas.

Verso Marketing and Publicity Intern

Verso Books are on the lookout for a Marketing and Publicity Intern to help with their sales, marketing and publicity departments.


You’d be working on publicity campaigns, marketing activity and social media posts as well as attending meetings and completing some administrative tasks.


You must have some interest in the books Verso publish, an interest in non-traditional brand content and experience in social media. You must also have experience in copywriting, knowledge of different forms of media, enthusiasm for communication and an interest in design and visual content.


Verso will also be on hand with advice on job hunting and CV writing.

Lorella Belli Literary Agency LTDLiterary Agency Assistant


Salary: £22,000

Location: London


For this role, Lorella Belli Literary Agency is looking for someone who is proactive, organised and self-motivated with some publishing experience and an interest in agenting and working with authors.


You will need to have worked in a literary agency, at a trade publisher, as a scout or in a creative field for at least 6 months.


You should also be flexible and enjoy fiction and non-fiction with an emphasis on commercial mainstream projects. You should have knowledge of contemporary publishing and media trends, and an understanding of digital and social media.
