Arguably, there is never a better time to delve into some non-fiction titles than a month dedicated to platforming Black voices, stories and histories. As ever, the recommendations you see here aren’t simply history books (although there’s that too for the history nerds out there) but a necessary collection of essay/discussion pieces, letters, fiction fusion and poetry – and they should be read all year round to enjoy and educate.
