The Felicity Bryan Publishing Mentorship Scheme

Closing date: 3 July 2026

Salary: Oxford Living Wage (£14.06 per hour)

Location: Oxford

Are you from an under-represented background and want to learn more about the publishing industry? Felicity Bryan Associates, the largest literary agency outside of London, are offering a three-month mentorship in their Oxford office.

The mentorship scheme was created in honour of the late literary agent, Felicity Bryan, who was passionate about supporting young people at the start of their publishing careers. This is a valuable opportunity for someone who wants to gain hands-on experience in the responsibilities of a successful literary agency. The mentorship will also include industry placements at partner organisations such as Little Brown Book Group, Daunt Books Summertown, Profile Books and more.

Accessibility is at the heart of this mentorship, and therefore an additional stipend is provided to cover accommodation costs, alongside the Oxford Living Wage. No specific qualifications are required. However, it is only open to individuals who are over eighteen, based in the UK or Ireland, and consider themselves under-represented in the publishing industry. As part of their covering letter, applicants must include why they feel they are under-represented in publishing, as well as a recently published book that stood out to them.
