Client Services Coordinator – Penguin Random House

Closing Date: 25 May, midnight

Salary: Less than £20,000

Location: Frating, Colchester


Penguin Random House are looking for a Client Services Coordinator to join their team at their Distribution Centre.


Reporting to the Head of Client Services, you will support the Client Services department in all areas relating to Penguin Random House third party Client Publishers, helping to build strong working relationships and facilitate the delivery of excellent client service.


Responsibilities include administrative tasks, working with the Client Services Team to develop and roll out requires publishing services initiatives, producing and designing all internal and external advertising and much more!


You will need good organisational skills, a good eye for detail and the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. This is an entry-level role and you will be given all the training you need to succeed in it.

Sales and Marketing Assistant – Facet Publishing

Closing Date: 27 May

Salary: £21,650

Location: Bloomsbury, London (Hybrid Working)


Facet Publishing is looking for an Assistant to provide administrative support to the Senior Sales and Marketing Executive.


Your main responsibilities will include general administrative tasks, providing support for Sales and Marketing campaigns, providing author support, supporting the creation and scheduling of social media and email newsletter marketing as well as many other interesting and varied tasks. You will also be responsible for Facet Publishing’s textbook inspection and book review service. You’ll also have the opportunity to work closely with other departments like Editorial and Production.


The ideal candidate will be a confident and creative communicator verbally and in writing, highly organised and able to manage a diverse workload, with strong attention to detail and a knowledge of marketing tools and trends in social media.

Editorial Assistant – Oxbridge Centre UK

Are you a graduate looking to develop a career in publishing? Do you have a keen interest in and passion for education? If so, this could be the job for you!


Oxbridge are looking for an Editorial Assistant to join their Publishing Team, who design and output the curriculum and internal and external resources for use in their lessons.


You will be responsible for supporting Senior Editorial staff throughout the publishing process, from planning to production stages. In this role, you will collaborate with staff across the business, including professionals involved in tuition delivery, creative output, copywriting and print production.


The ideal candidate will be a team-player who can manage detail-oriented workflows across multiple teams while using their initiative to suggest improvements to our ways of working. This person should love learning, following (purposeful) rabbit-holes and applying niche knowledge to improve operations, as well as thriving under pressure.

Editorial Assistant – Taylor and Francis

Closing Date: 1 June

Salary: £25,000

Location: London


Taylor and Francis are looking for an Editorial Assistant!


The role will involve a wide range of tasks relating to facilitating the peer review process for their research platforms, including contacting internationally renowned academic researchers and clinicians, assessing the appropriateness of peer reviewers, providing additional suggestions and some basic editing and quality checks of peer review reports. Please note this role will not include the editing of manuscripts.


The successful candidate will have a background in the natural sciences, social sciences or humanities with a natural ability to communicate concepts clearly and enthusiastically, work efficiently and have excellent attention to detail. They will also need to be a strong team player who enjoys interacting with people and be fully computer literate.


Prior editorial experience is not required for this role as full training will be provided.

Royalties Assistant – Bonnier Books

Are you interested in the relationship between sales, authors and publishing houses? Want to work with one of the UK’s leading book publishers?


Bonnier Books are searching for a Royalties Assistant to aid in the development and running of the Royalties function within their publishing house.


Duties include entering and maintaining contractual data and payments to ensure accurate calculation of royalty earnings, creating, analysing and working from reports, liaising with clients and agents regarding statement queries and much more!


The ideal candidate will be forward-thinking, friendly, approachable and able to remain calm under pressure. You will have strong math skills and an ability to learn quickly. You must be comfortable taking phone calls and be able to build positive ongoing relationships with valued authors, illustrators and agents.
